Are You Interested?

On September 12, 2017, the North Meck HOSA club held an interest meeting after school. The turn-out was far beyond expectations, with numbers exceeding 60 students! The meeting was advertised over the school-wide announcements and with flyers posted around campus. Our chapter president led the meeting by giving a brief overview of what HOSA is and why potential members should be interested.

HOSA was emphasized as an opportunity to:

-Travel and meet new people

-Gain exposure to the health science world

-Earn scholarships

-Compete at district and state level competitions

Interested students received a description of all competitive events and were provided an opportunity to interact with former members to determine their top three choices for the upcoming season. Students were also provided background on the community service projects we will participate in throughout the year, such as awareness weeks and blood drives.

A huge thank you goes out to Ms. Peace and all other administrators who spread awareness of our club and allowed our interest meeting to be successful. We look forward to exploring all that HOSA has to offer with many new faces!
