ABOUT US
HOSA is an international organization composed of secondary education students with a mission to promote health care career opportunities and to increase the quality of healthcare as a whole.
The purpose of HOSA is:

To promote physical, mental and social well-being.

To develop effective leadership qualities and skills.

To develop the ability to communicate more effectively with people.

To develop responsible citizenship traits.

To understand the importance of pleasing oneself as well as being of service to others.

To make realistic career choices and seek successful employment in the healthcare field.

To develop an understanding of the importance in interacting and cooperating with other students and organizations.

To encourage individual and group achievement.

To develop an understanding of current health care issues, environmental concerns, and survival needs of the community, the nation, and the world.

OUR COMMUNITY
HOSA is divided into two parts: volunteerism and competition! We are involved in service activities year-round and compete at the District/State level with local schools. Check out what we're doing below!
Membership
HOW TO JOIN
Membership is open to all students of North Mecklenburg High School in good standing (no expulsions or Out of School Suspensions) upon payment of the dues. Regular season membership dues are $35. National and State dues will be discussed later in the season. Expectations are as follows:

Compete and obtain valuable knowledge on health sciences, teamwork, and leadership

Contribute to your local health community through blood drives, 5ks, fundraisers, and more

Attend weekly meetings and participate avidly as a North Meck HOSA member
